Last night in Orlando Team Ambush pulled through with the sickest comeback in MLG history against Str8Rippin for the win.

In an absolutely amazing five game series, Ambush has just knocked the San Diego Champions, Str8 Rippin, into the Losers Bracket. With just about everyone in the venue crowded around the station, Ambush pulled off possibly one of the greatest come from behind victories in MLG history. Trailing 37-47 in Game 5, Team Slayer on the Pit, Ambush mounted an unthinkable comeback, netting 13 of the next 14 kills to take the match 50-48. The crowd went absolutely insane. A late game OS grab may have been the deciding factor, as a member of Ambush was able to grab the power-up unscathed, which allowed it to full charge. He then quickly took out two Str8 Rippin players who were also at the OS, and weakened another, who was quickly killed. This tied the game at 47. It was at this time that all hell broke loose. With the crowd screaming, it seemed as if every player on the map decided to rush at the same time. While players yelled call-outs as loud as possible, trying to be heard over the frenzied crowd, the final kill was a timely assassination in the sword building.

Now Str8 has to fight their way through the losers bracket. Keep an eye out today to see who takes home the gold in Orlando…or should I say a huge check.

So you may have heard of this little event going on this weekend…MLG Orlando? Yea it’s a pretty big thing. Anyways so here is the live feed! Watch it! You might have 400 babies.

We’ll in 10 minuets it will be 7/7/08 and that means loads of free stuff for all of you Bungie Fans! In case you haven’t heard, BUNGIE will be releasing their much anticipated new map COLD STORAGE. A remake of the HALO: Combat Evolved classic, Chill Out. Here are a few pictures courtesy of B.net.

As well as a new map there are also the standard free Gamer Pictures and Theme for you XBOX LiVE profiles. Heres a preview courtesy of Xbox360Fanboy.com. And as for the theme, well, you’ll just have to wait and see that when you download it!

I know it’s a little earlier than the 4th, 30 min. to be exact! But I wanted to post this before I went to bed. On behalf of ATF and myself, I’d like to wish all of you a safe and happy Independence Day Celebration.

Hazah, another Fort Contest! This time, the lucky map is none other than Ghost Town. For all rules and regulations, please see the Submission Thread.

Upon browsing Kotaku today I was very frightened to find an article about information a tipster gave them. If you’re hardcore Bungie and don’t want Microsoft to ruin the franchise you might want to stop reading right now. You’ve been warned.

Microsoft released a marketing survey that makes people like me cringe with horror. Halo Racing? Give me a break.

So what are your thoughts?

As some of you may know I’ve been cut off from the gaming world for quite some time. I signed on for my sixth straight year at the Boy Scout summer camp that I work at and while working there I rarely have time to do anything. Now it’s not all work and no play, don’t get me wrong. Instead of sitting on my ass playing video games we all hang out and have fun as a staff.

So I’m 3.5 weeks in and I haven’t signed on Xbox Live for that entire time. I haven’t even played Halo multiplayer either. If you know me that’s one hell of a feat. I know now what it must feel like to try to stop smoking. I don’t really have cravings to play, instead I kind of miss it. I miss playing with all of my friends and I miss keeping in touch with them.

So if I don’t play on live what do I do? I’ve had to downgrade from the best online gaming service to playing split screen in a cabin in the woods on a TV that was made with cable NOT in mind. Even though Xbox Live is an amazing thing nothing beats 6 people sitting around a TV through the night cheering and yelling at each other. That, my friends, is what it’s all about.

So why am I writing this? There’s one simple reason. It’s the summer. Why not go out and have some fun? Sometimes people get too carried away with their gaming habits. I’m one of those people. Go make some friends and have some good times.
